We are starting 2017 with a new series of Game Lectures. Our first lecture in February is by Coline Pannier who will be discussing her experiences in designing games for systemic change and how to transform the way we use our planet's resources. The lecture is on Wednesday 8th of February 2017 at 7:00 pm, and is held at the Institute of Digital Games. As usual, our Game Lectures are free and open to the public.

The topic and summary of February's Game Lecture follows:

"Designing systemic change"

A few years ago, I started looking into one of the most pressing challenges of our time: the alarming rate at which we are depleting our planet's resources, leaving behind huge quantities of useless waste. It soon appeared that to steer away from the dead-end of "take-make-dispose", raising awareness on sustainability would not be enough. We will have to change our entire system.

Together with game designer SofĂa Montuori, I founded the social enterprise inaloop games to contribute to the transition to a circular economy. In this talk, I will present some of our findings and experience on designing game systems to bring about systemic change.
